Along with our partner program at Williams Village North, the Sustainability and Social Innovation RAP, the Sustainable by Design RAP creates a shared vocabulary and literacy to enable students to develop successful approaches to meeting emerging challenges facing human society and the planet. We accept students who are majoring in:

  • Engineering and Applied Science
  • Pre-Engineering
  • Environmental Design
  • Architecture and Planning

The College of Engineering and Applied Sciences sees the three Engineering Residential Academic Programs as so important to your success in Engineering that we will provide a partial scholarship* to you for participating in any one of them.

*To be elligible for a College of Engineering scholarship, you must be actively enrolled in the College. Pre-Engineering students are not elligible.

Students enrolled in the following majors/colleges are not elligible for Sustainable by Design, but should consider Sustainability and Social Innovation or another Residential Academic Program:

  • Arts and Sciences
  • Business
  • Music
  • Media, Communication, and Information
